In the mind’s eye, a memory is fragmented, choppy, and unclear, yet
completely comprehensible. There is no more physicality to the
experience; it is memory is left to the mutable mind. Upon
recollection, presentational immediacy dictates much of what is
“remembered”—or rather, what is perceived as memory. A realization of
this phenomenology of memory-recollection provides me with new
therapeutic tool with which to study my past. I hope my audience will
delve into these topics, such as the extreme subjectivity of
consciousness and the reliability of memory as a means to accurately
depict anything in the past. Though metaphysics and subjectivity seem
to be at odds, I believe that the variable perceptions of individuals
are made meta through the inescapable involvement of objective
universal constants: space and time.
