Solvent is a collective of young artists working in Texas. Its eight members maintain a diverse collection of work through a multiplicity of media: paint, photography, ink, sculpture, installations, and video. Solvent studies society through collaborative work and strives for a new comparative culture of participation and interaction in art.

Members of Solvent have shown around Dallas, in venues such as 500X, UT Dallas, Continental Gin Studios, The MAC, Kettle Art, MFA, West Village Art Uprising festival, and the Aurora audio/visual festival. Solvent has organized and executed exhibitions and happenings collectively at RO2 Gallery, Second Floor Gallery, UT Dallas, and the Absinthe Lounge, as well as several DIY spaces in the DFW area.
